Position Trader: Position trading is a long term style of trading where trades are held anywhere from several days to several months. This style of trading is the style of trading that most long term investors fit into, but many of them do not utilize position trading to its full potential. Position trading uses long timeframe charts.

Channel Trader: Channel trading is a powerful yet often overlooked form of trading that capitalizes on the tendencies of markets to trade in a range. It is the range between support and resistance levels that a stock price has traded in for a specific period of time. The channel trader combines several forms of technical analysis that provide precise points from which to buy and sell to take advantage of market fluctuations between support and resistance.

What method of trading does the Invest.Trade Praxis follow? The praxis utilizes a combination of position trading and channel trading and on occasion a conservative form of trend trading. We practice a simple rules-based method of trading that includes monitoring support and resistance levels, stochastics, MACD, and RSI. When a price movement over time equals an 8% to 10% deviation (above or below) the current stock partial position and the technical indicators are satisfied we may decide to execute a trade.
